  16. Just for the record,  I am running Red Hat 7.0 with C-Kermit 7.1.199 Alpha.02, 4 Jan 2001, for Linux.

  19. I use kermit for serial all the time, but I tried telnetting from kermit to the localhost.  No problem
  20. making the connection, and I let it sit idle for 5 minutes and everything is fine.  It might be AIX
  21. is doing something something to make the Linux kermit unhappy.
